Getting plate made for shifting instructions

I am planning on getting a plate (brass relief on black background) made similar to those seen on military vehicles/jeeps/scouts for my EB with NP435/D20 twin-stick (@JB Fab rails for independent shifting).

My question is, are the following statements fair/accurate regarding T-Case shifting instructions:

  • HUBS must be engaged prior to shifting front axle.
  • Shifting from 2WD to 4WD may be accomplished at any speed while HUBS engaged.
  • Vehicle must be stopped when shifting between HIGH and LOW range.
  • It may be necessary to reverse vehicle to disengage 4WD.
Will be similar to this (available on ebay), except I don't like the N position marking or the instructions:

Johnnyb@ you might want to clarify that this can only be done with 4 high.

Shifting from 2WD to 4WD may be accomplished at any speed while HUBS engaged.
Hi @gnpenning ,

I considered this with the twin stick and I don't see the technical reason why you couldn't go from 2L to 4L (with either axle) as long as there was no wheel slippage going on?

  • HUBS must be engaged prior to shifting front axle.
  • Shift-on-the-fly from 2WD to 4WD only while HUBS engaged.
  • Do not shift any component when wheel slippage is occurring.
  • Vehicle must be stopped when shifting between HIGH and LOW range.
  • It may be necessary to reverse vehicle to disengage 4WD.

Don't see why hubs must be engaged first. But "Hubs must be engaged for 4WD function"
Add "shift front axle to neutral before shift rear axle between ranges"
Front axle will only engage the same range as the rear axle is engaged in

Well if you tried to engage the front axle rolling at 20 MPH, for example, and the front hubs were not engaged, I think you would damage the transfer case because the front drive shaft wouldn't be spinning at that point.

Some D20 twin stick shift talk with lots if interesting info. If you get the twin sticks from JB Fab, you should get a shift sticker.
