So I got off of work and got home and was just going to do the last minute things to bronco before I load it up and I noticed antifreeze under it and the timing cover is leaking so I tore it down tonight. I am going to get it back going tommorrow night and finish everything else also before Thursday morning before we leave. I am glad it did it here and not up there.

I feel your pain... Went to rotate tires on my f250 to tow the bronco. Noticed some slop in one of the wheels, appeared to be a bearing... Go to store get $250 hub bearing Assy. Tear it down and find it's not the hub, but the ball joints and that hub is cracked....

Return the hub bearing Assy, pick up a set of mile marker hubs and set of ball joints... It was a long night last night!! Looking forward to the SC though.

Been there too...

When I bought the Bronco, I drove 4 hours to pick it up with my trailer. About 15 minutes from the owners house- I lost two trailer bearings. Dust caps came off and purged the grease. 8 hours later I got it home.

i know the feeling. I thought mine was ready to go two weeks ago, and since then i have replaced leaking front seal in timing chain cover which on a six requires removing timing cover and water pump. Then I had to replace a rear leaking brake hose and right after that, the right front brake hose blew so i replaced all the rubber brake lines. I think it is ready now, Good Lord willing.

While working on the trailer brakes on Monday night I was laying on my back and soldering some wires above my head. Solder ran off the hot iron into my right eye! Haven't gotten the bills yet and hope they don't come until I get back from SC but I'll be there! Still blurry vision but the doc says it'll improve by weekend. My wife thinks this is the 4th time we have had eye injuring while doing something bronco related - you'd think I would have learned by now.

See ya'll there!

I think theres a company or two that make these new things called "safety glasses". Might wanna look 'em up. ;D

Yea, I sell them! You don't think about wearing glasses while soldering, but how often are you soldering overhead ?:? Even when I was wearing glasses once I had a metal shaving get into my eye in the shower - my luck go figure.

Almost a big whoops today... I never tried to get both our childrens seats in the back at the same time... And they wouldn't fit without the seat belts the way they were!!! I had to remount the seat belts at 10pm this evening...

Would have been tough to do this in the Tally Ho parking lot...
