I have spent the last two weeks playing master carb tuner. I have tried my 600 double pumper, my 390 circle track double pumper along with a holley 600 vac secondary carb. The 600 DP just seems a bit too much for my motor. The 390 works pretty good but still not perfect. The vacuum secondary carb does not want to run at all (I think that there is a fatal error in this carb because it is a friends that he has never used on a vehicle before). Anyways I got mad and ordered a new BG 525 road Demon JR. from Summit on closeout and I am going to give this a try this weekend. Hopefully it works good.

Just thought I would post this so that hopefully next week I can give a status report of this carb.

Yeah let us know how it works out. I also have a road demon jr 525 that I got from summit about a month ago I just havent put it on yet. My holley 600 vac secondary works fine but I wanted to try a smaller carb if it works out good I'll have a carb to put on my 71 if I ever decide to go with a 4v
I'd be interested in what jets you end up running if you have to change them at all.

If anyone has been looking for a new carb summit racing has all there demon carbs on clearance right now you can get a 525 with manual choke for $240
I think summit had a falling out with demon and cannot sell there product anymore.

So far things are not going very well at all. I cannot get the float levels set on the Demon. The only way I can get the fuel level down is to crank the needle and seat almost to the bottom. I have replaced both needle and seats and the floats. No luck yet. I think that they named this carb right. It is possessed. I am going to call BG this morning and see what I am doing wrong or what could be wrong. I am running an electric fuel pump but I put a regulator on it this weekend and ran it ar what should be 4.5 psi. I have no gauge. None of my Holley carbs have this problem W/O the regulator. I did get the double pumper working better.

Barry Grant tech had no idea. They said to send it back for repair. 7-10 days. I do not want to wait this long. Summit said to send back for refund. I was really happy about there customer service even though this was a clearance item due to differences between them and BG. I was able to get the double pumper running better, but it still is not the best. I am trying to decide what carb to buy. I think that the Holley TA is way too much money. Though about getting a 4160 Holley and modding it. Also though about getting another BG and seeing if a new one works any better. Not sure what to do yet.

Broncnaz. I was able to run it with the stock 58 jets and it seemed to run alright. It was a little lean on my motor but I think that this is due to the MSD 7A ignition I have on it. I would try the carb soon on something to make sure that it works in case you have to return it.

Cool I'm in no hurry to put it on right now. I know on my holleys I usually have to turn the needle seats down pretty low to get the fuel level where I want it. Maybe next week end I'll install my demon and see how it goes I've pulled the demon apart and cleaned it up there was some aluminum shavings in the bowls from the machining process you may want to check yours. I may bump the jets up to 60's I think I have a set laying around. I doubt I'd ever have to return it I've messed with a lot of carbs and have always been able to get them to work the way I wanted but I can see your disapointment it should work out of the box.
