That really is an awsome color for a bronco! and the cage is also awsome. Not only that, but you have to other broncos to drive while you work on the other? Man man man, I have one that I cant drive yet, I am so jealious:-[ but props for you! also, where did you get that cage?

Outstanding 2bad...Is this one going to be your daily driver? I notice alot of people are posting pics of thier freshly painted Broncos...I guess I'll have to get off my butt, and snap a few pics of my halfcab...It's not perfect, but it looks pretty good...

BroncoHowie, the color is 1970 Ford grabber orange / 1970 Mercury competition gold. I am spraying it with a Finish line gun my good gun is at work. If you are in need of a spray gun the Finish line gun is a good multi purpose gun by Devilbiss.

Thanks for the tip, that DeVilbiss finish line looks like a nice gun. I have this old Binks model 2001 and it doesn't lay down enough material for a big job but great for spotting stuff.

You do nice work in your home workshop in the winter. Do you plan to finish it off in a booth? What type of paint? Catalyzed Enamel? How long will it last? Sorry for all the questions. %)

BroncoHowie - No paint booth for me. I'll paint this at home. If I blow the garage out the day before and wet the floor, I can get a pretty clean job. The paint is PPG Concept single stage ( no clearcoat ) urethane. It will last for a VERY LONG TIME. I'll lightly sand and buff it anyway so if I do get a couple of specks of dirt , they won't be there long. I don't have a heat problem, I have had my garage to 103 degrees with my small heater and it cools down to about 70 - 75 when the exhaust fan is on. I plan on painting this whole truck all apart and then putting it together once the tub is on the frame. EVERY nut, bolt screw, clip will be brand new. I'm going to paint the rest sooner than you may think.

I'm already drooling, but when will we see pics of the Bed & rear fenderwells?

What kind of body armour do you have to wear when you squirt that Urethane? Full Oxygen supply with a Hazamat suit? Or is it low toxic?

Nothing special except a respirator. They make disposable paint suits with and without hoods for pretty cheap but i don't use them unless I'm painting something really nasty. The Concept does not leave overspray all over the entire garage. It is pretty much just sweep up afterwards.

Just so you know - There isn't ANYTHING about bodywork that isn't toxic. To anyone reading this, be careful no matter what you are doing. Rust dust, bondo dust, paint fumes, thinner on your hands, it is all bad !!!

That single stage urethane does use a hardner though, right?
