Grant Adapter and Early Style Horn Signal Switch - Fit Issues

Anyone had to bend or modify the early turn signal switch spring pins with a Grant adapter. I've done this identical setup in the past without an issue, but this one is giving me fits today! You can see in the photo where the contacts are riding. The inside is riding a little too far out and will fire the horn when tightened down. I'm leaning more towards somehow widen the gap on the copper adapter rather than try to mess with the spring pins. Thoughts?

Widen the gap. You can cut the copper foil with a razor knife.

Thanks man! That's what I needed to hear. The copper looked like it was going to be tougher than is actually was to cut. Cut like butter. 139 dB air horn in the house working like a champ. ;D Thanks again.
