Grounding Sanden 508

Vintage air wiring diagram says the compressor needs a chassis ground but I don't really see a dedicated grounding location. Do I just pick a bolt that doesn't penetrate the case? There's one spot (pictured below) but I figured that just a retainer to keep the power lead out of the clutch/pulley. Anyone have a good spot that worked for them?

if your engine is grounded you should be fine as long as you can get some contact through your mounting brackets to the block. I would say unless your brackets have a thick powder coat on them that could prohibit conductivity, carry on. if they do you, might need a jumper. I've never had an issue just bolting a 508 up.

I bought a swing set for the kids once. The instructions said it needed weekly lubrication and inspection. It's just CYA for the manufacturer. Four 3/8" blots torqued down should be enough.

Pretty sure you can be thrown in jail these days for such negligence;)

Be absolutely sure you are using the manufacturer's recommended lubricant. "Any grease containing excessive lubricity will potentially cause accelerated swing motion which could have a negative effect on the weight/gravity ratio of any, and all, persons using this playground equipment."
That being said, I've always seen a/c compressors with a short ground wire attached to one of the compressor mounting bolts. Be sure you have block/chassis/body ground straps.
