Hanson bumper height question

Just curious, I just purchased a Hanson front bumper and was wondering what the board here would recommend as far as what height I should put it when I install it (the bumper adjusts from stock to 3 inch body lift)? My bronco has a two inch body lift and I will be putting a Warn 8274 winch on it. Since I know that I will be using the winch occasionally, is it better to have the bumper lower or higher, or does it make any difference at all. If the bumper is set for the body lift the frame horns show. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Z Bronco

should not make a diff but I have found that get it where you want it and then spot weld it so it doesn't move when you hit a rock or tree. YES it is hard to reset when it has the winch on it................. I set mine so it is about .75" below the front clip/grill.

Thanks for your reply. After setting the height a couple of times to see what the bumper looked like on my bronco I think I am going to use the setting which puts the top of the bumper just below the license plate holes in my grill. The frame horns are protected and the top of my 8274 is just below the hood. The other setting (top of bumper just above the license plate holes) showed about a third of the bottom frame horn mount and my winch would be slightly taller than my hood.

A few weeks ago someone posted on this board that Hanson Offroad located some front Bronco bumpers, I checked their website and ordered one. When I called them to order the winch mount I asked how many bumpers after mine they had left and was told that there is only ONE left. In conversation with them I was told that they are very swamped with orders for Jeep bumpers and will not be making the Bronco bumpers after the last bumper sells. I checked their website today and they still have the bumper if anyone is interested, it is the stock front bumper.
