don't want to hijack but thought i'd share the solution i found...it's a pulley system that is super easy to install and use. i can easily put my top on and off by myself. you sink four screw eyes into studs in your ceiling and just string it up and you're ready to go. i know it says it's only good for 145lbs which is probably close to the weight of our tops, but it doesn't have any problem.
