I don't believe their is a prescription for tightening header bolts...Just make sure you get them all tight, then after you run the engine keep checking the tightness...
I do them like head bolts. Start in the center and work out. No good reason why though.%)
More important is retighten them 2 times, after 2 good warmup runs.
ok thanks, i will try seems it is harder to get them to be tight ill keep trying, i am hearing a ticking sound and i know it is a leak, what do you guys think about the felspro gaskets, with the steel on one side and paper on the other?
the best header gaskets hands down are the dead soft aluminum ones that are reusable. Even the best paper gaskets will blow out eventually. get a set for where the header meets the cylinder heads and then another set for the collector all of which should be made form dead soft aluminum (whatever that means?) All I know is that yet to have a set blow out and I have reused them over and over and over again, worth every penny. My suggestion would be to go to the summitracing.com site and buy what you need there.
