Heater Blower wiring

I believe they plug into the resistor that is located on the back side of your heater box, there should be two flat bladed connectors hanging out there.

The red wire goes to the resistor on the back of the heater box and the orange goes to the motor. At least on my '68.

There should be a brown wire (depending on your year, I suppose) from the fuse panel to the switch. The red wire goes from the switch to one side of the resistor. The Orange and the motor lead wire both go to the other side of the resistor. When the switch is on the high contacts the power goes straight to the motor. When the switch is on the low contacts the power goes through the resistor and then to the motor.

These pictures show where the resistor should be. You can't really see it but the orange and motor lead are connected to the same end of the resistor.

Wow, would have been much easier to attach wire before I installed heater box. That was a bitch! Now I seem to recall making a mental note to do just that. Funny how painful experience jars the memory...
