"Heavy Duty" Chebby 1 Ton Steering

I installed the Chebby 1 Ton steering conversion last year. I did a Tierod Over and wanted something a little more solid. After the third or fourth run I noticed my passenger side tierod and drag link jam nuts were loose. Not a big deal I thought, since I have been known to forget to tighten some nut or bolt. So I cleaned, locktited and retightened them. Next run they were loose again.

Finally figured out what it was. I remember on the first run with the new steering I wacked a rock pretty hard with "something" underneath. If you look in the pics, you can see the scrape across the face of the tierod end. Also a pic to compare the bent one with a new one.

I really do need to learn how to drive...

Join the club, I've had to replace my RH end for the same reason on my LUBER.
