Hey all,

I just went through my 5th starter solenoid in 5 years. Can anyone recommend a heavy duty solenoid?

Thanks,

Dan

quote from our master starter and alternator guru " RRRAAAAY2. Buy a Cole hersey solenoid and you will never have a problem. Accurate makes a pretty good one as well. If you are paying less than $10 for the ones you are using, then that is likely your problem"

Cole Hersey does make good stuff. in my catalog I saw a solenoid that was completely covered in epoxy, so it was pretty impervious to the elements.

even the cheap ones will last longerthan a year if your engine starts like it should make sure your timing is set right.
