Hello everyone, I just bought my first Bronco, a 72, and have been devouring all of the great info on the site. There seems to be an amazing community here so I just wanted to introduce myself and show you what I'm working with. I'm located in Clearwater, FL.

Some of the upgrades from previous owners:
-conversion to automatic
-power steering
-power brakes (although it doesn't feel like it)
-WH radiator
-Racho9000 shocks (old as heck. already ordered the bilstein 5100s recommended)
-Lift (not sure but between 2.5-4)
-Front disc brakes (This was a surprise)

I added some pictures to my garage and was wondering you any of you could answer a few questions for me.
1. Are the disc brakes a GM or Ford conversion?
2. How much lift do I have? (I took pics with a tape measure but I couldn't find a definitive answer on measuring to the top or center of the axles).
3. What's up with this hook that has been attacked to the hood?

Anyway, it's awesome to now be a part of such a good community. Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to CB! My in laws are in St Pete and I was just down there last week. I could’ve came and looked for you!

1. Those are GM style brakes, most likely a kit from a vendor.

2. If the tape is at the bottom of the frame rail in the pic of the front axle, you have a 2.5” lift.

3. The hook on the hood of for a windshield frame latch on an earlier Bronco (66-early 69). You could fold the frame down and latch it to the hood. Also you have a 66 door on the driver’s side so they may have used several things from an earlier donor.

Ah, that explains a lot. Both doors have that style handle and I was wondering why it didn't match the cup style that I was expecting. Thanks for clearing that up.

Welcome to CB! Nice looking ride, especially like the bench seat. Here is a pic of my distance from the frame rail to the top of the front axle with big Bronco springs and Wild Horses extreme duty spring perches, which adds up to about 2 inches of lift.
