Just came upon this thread. Tons of great info I have decided not to cut mine. Thanks for answering many of my questions guys/gals and good luck wanting2learn.

Yup , we were about 60 during the day and about freezing the next morning.
Last year we had mid 50's to below zeros in less than 24 hrs , several times . You could watch potholes develop on your daily commutes.

A motor rebuild might be nice , but it sounds like you really wouldn't need EFI , plus it could be done later w/o too much problem. Also , doing an EFI swap on an unknown motor would make things kinda tough to figure out if you had any problems.
As far as the "language barrier" , get some catalogs then you'll have pictures to easily reference what a part is and how it works. They will also have quite a few pics of different broncos to get ideas from. A lot of times I just find it is easier to flip through a catalog than dig around online.
