Help with engine stalling in gearÂ…sometimes!

I have a 1973 Bronco c4 with an Edelbrock manifold and 4 barrel carb. The truck idles fine, runs very well and shifts fine. Unfortunately, sometimes when idling in gear (red light) or shift into gear from idling, the engine will just shut-off. It appears to happen only when under a load, but not 100% of the time. It happens just enough to be a pain! I have adjusted the idle screws and checked the vacuum hoses. I have a modulator on the trans with 2 fittings, one of which runs to the manifold. Do I need to add another vacuum hose to the second fitting on the modulator to the plugged off carb port? I am at a loss for what the issue might be. Any feedback is appreciated!!!
