Help with welding

They both got good penetration, but the ones with the punch have a larger nugget which is a stronger weld. Looks nice and worth a little extra effort to get them right. Ken

Those look decent. You might try welding the plug welds first, while keeping screws in place. Then when you start on the screws, turn the heat up a notch or 2. That will give you a little better penetration with the sppon without blowing through. Practice, practice, practice...

Kip60 I will try that method this week. Want to get this right before welding on the bronco
