Been collecting parts and pieces all summer. Now for the fun of putting them all together. ;D
I won't be doing much to the body in this stage as it is ok for now. I'll need to do some work on the crossmembers so I can actual bolt the body to the frame. Unlike what the PO using gravity to hold the body on.

Here is a quick run down of the plan and parts.

Starting with a 66 Bronco half cab 6cyl.

Going with
4.5" lift and 1" body
91 Mustang 5.0 HO
88 ZF 5spd
79 FSB axles that will be narrowed some. I know I know. But I don't care for how much they would stick out
4.56 with lockers of some kind - most likely Detroits
35" BFG muds for now, on 8's. Traded a pair of quad paddles for the tires. ;D
4x4x2 gear box

Here's a few pics.

Cool pic of your kid "manning" the wrench! Looks like something my son would do to my wifes new car.

I really dig the frame you built for lifting/mantaining body alignment.

That's the youngest boy. He's always coming out and asking questions. I love it. bty those pics are not staged. I got him started on one hinge then need to take the middle boy to a friends house. Told Jacob to remove two bolts from each hinge. Then when I got back I held the door and he took out the other two bolts. Then I got boring and he went and played hid-n-go seek.;D

Yes on the ZF came from a F150. That didn't happen very often. Most where in 250 and 350s. This one was a 300 6 also.

When the body goes back on. When ever that may be %) The metal from the body jig is going to be used to make bed caps for my SD. Tired of the little tie downs. Going to put a few 'd' rings in.

Not going to be much time to work on the EB this weekend. Need to put injectors in the SD. Man those things are $$$. But I'm up grading at the same time so the added claimed 120hp will be nice.

Another weekend out playing in the garage.
Got the frame cleaned up. Found some thin spots on the body mounts. Cut those out and replaced with some 3/16 flat stock. You can see one of the bad body mount holes in the frame pic above.

Working on the mounting plate/brackets for the 4x4x2.

A few updates. It's been on the cool side here and two of my boys are in Basketball and I'm coaching one team. So I've been a bit busy.

But I have got a few things done.

Finished up the 4x4x2 box Sunday.
Just need to finish welding up the frame brackets. I need to flip the frame to get to it easier. But I need some measurements on the trans-to-frame, before I take out the engine/trans to make the trany crossmember.
I know I could buy one. But what would be fun in that?%)

Finally got the engine perches welded in. That was a bit of work to get them in a spot that set the engine in there right. I don't know if I got a not so good set of perches or what. So I got another set and there were better in fitting but were not as well put together. So I took the first set, I had to lower the pass side quarter inch and raise the driver side a little more than a quarter inch.

The rear shock upper mounts are tacked. Ready for the frame flip to finish off welding.

Brown came the other day with the ZF to D20 adapter.;D So I guess its time for the tear down, check out, and reseal of the transfer.

Got a little more done over the last few months. That is between the boys basketball and honey do list.

Finished the 4x4x2 conversion and the frame mounting reinforcement.

Installed the brackets for the BC 23 gal tank.
BTW that is a very nice tank. I really like the vertical adjustment.

Removed the rear bump stop mounting brackets and replaced with some 1/4" angle to reinforce the frame damage.
Installed front bump stops on frame instead of mounting them to the HP44.

Now I'm working on the front and rear frame horns for the bumper mounts.
Going to make a plate bumper after the the bodies on. But I want everything else done to the frame so I can blast and paint it.
