Is there any chance in hell I can run a standard bronco width HP 44 with only 2.5" suspension lift? I have the parts to do that, and if it is workable, I would prefer to not buy another bronco dana 44 at todays prices. I could trade front ends with my sons bronco, which currently has a low pinion 44 and 3.5" SL

I run a narrowed HP 44 with 2.5” of suspension lift. Front axle is pushed forward 1 1/2”, also running an Explorer 5.0 with the stock aluminum oil pan. Still have 4 1/2” of up travel. Your results may vary. :)

you should be fine. full width the pinion is in between the frame and the oil pan, exhaust is the only thing that can be in the way (depends on your setup)
