I think I've cured the high-idle issue. I had a 1/4" spacer between the intake and the old Edelbrock carb. I re-used this with the Holley TBI. Turns-out the spacer had a crack in it. It also had indentations from the old carb that didn't match the Sniper base. Discovered the leak using the carb cleaner method. This morning I installed a new 1/2" spacer with fresh gaskets. The engine now idles right where it should (have it set at 750 RPM.) The IAC reads about 9% when idling in Park (instructions say it should read between 2 and 10%.)
HA!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done, great to hear, its usually the simple that bites me in the butt. I'm still at the steering and brake install stage, actually put headlights on so I have that going for me.
