What have you used as homemade carpet hold-down kits?

I'd add if you are going for snaps, marine and other heavy duty focused applications use a variety of stainless snaps, including screw in or bolt in studs for the male side of the snap (for your floor) and carpet mountable/rivet style female caps (for the carpet, floor mat or whatever). I think I'll eventually end up this routs for floor mat hold downs on the bed-lined floor.

Bumping for pics of installed carpet, now that I've got carpet, insulation, and aluminum stock.

Did you look at the other pics in that album? I think I used a total of 20 snaps to hold all the carpet in Frank's truck; 3 for each kick panel, 8 on the t/g, and a few at each threshhold. The rest just sits where it goes with only its shape, gravity, & a little DynaMat goo holding it in place.

THUMBS UP!

The Snaps idea is good but it doesnt have a finished look like the Aluminum stock.
