Homemade Bumper

Got my new homemade bumper installed today.

Nice looking, I like the diamond plate as it looks a little more old school to me, which fits the Bronco's personality.

Could you post some more on the spare tire hinge and how it works, latch, etc.

I'm needing a new reap bumper soon and I plan on building it myself.

I'm usually not a huge fan of diamond plate, but I have to agree with Unaweep. It looks good in this configuration. Very cool.

Here are the photos. The hinge is really just a bolt through the mounting bar. The locking end has a nut welded on the back side of the bumper and has a bolt welded onto a handle that screws through the bumper. Pretty basic design but works well so far and no squeaks.

Very nice. I too am not usually a fan of diamond plate but it does look really nice. Nice job welding up the corners.
