As stated above these are all a big help. Heads on a small block ford probably it's worst fault. When buying a intake go with a dual plane type not a victor Jr. A RV type cam will help get some usable hp down low. If you don't want to go with headers a nice dual exhaust will work pretty well. Make sure all of your basics are covered, Good cap, wires, plugs, fuel pump. Everyone has their own favorite brand of part and they all come down to what gives good results for a fair price. I have had a lot of small block powered cars in the past and have had very good luck with Crower and Lunnatti cams. Don't buy too big a carb , a 600 - 650 is all you will ever need. Good luck

Carb, intake, electronic ignition, and headers are the fastest way to increase your horsepower. Heads and EFI require more time to install

Heads, Cam , Intake, Carb, Electronic ignition and a good exaust will for sure bring up the pony factor in your 302. Most parts you can find on ebay or in the parts for sale forum here.

You need compression swap to the early 289 heads if you dont change your dished pistons if you have changed pistons to flat tops then 68-70 302 heads and all of the speed parts you can afford the 71-77 302 engine and head combinations just dont have enough compression to make any real power without a blower.
