How do I know if I have a bad motor mount?

Rev it up in first with the brake on. Look at the motor and if it moves up a lot on the drivers side you have a bad mount. Do the same in reverse for passenger side.

I notice a slight vibration at 45+ mph the last several times it's ben driven. Also out of nowhere I all of the sudden have clutch chatter.

Put a pry bar under each mount and give a good pull (make sure you are prying to make engine move up). If engine moves then motor mount is bad. Used that method many times to diagnose broken motor mount. If you have an engine with a lot of torque a good hard acceleration will put fan through radiator but that is a more expensive method trust me.

weld it up. that's what I did.
noticed drivetrain movement as pulley were getting close the E-fan. Closer than where I had set it.
I loosened trans mount and got a come-a-long to pull drivetrain back.
All good now no movement.
