How important is a drop pit man arm?

I have 3.5 suspension lift, and I have both a stock and drop pitman arm. I don't have a drop mount for my tracking bar. So, is it more important to keep the tracking bar parallel to the drag link or use the drop pitman to drop the drag link closer to the tie rod?

Keeping them at the same angle is the best approach to maintaining drivability. You should probably run the drop pitman but should also likely run a drop trac bar bracket or a trac bar riser along with it.

I use trac bar risers , stock pitman arms with 3.5" lifts on my broncos

More important to keep drag link and trac bar parallel.

If the aren't parallel, the up and down motion of your front axle ends up moving your tie rod - voila bump steer.

And the consensus is that trac risers are better than trac drops as when you use a trac drop it creates more leverage on the trac bar drop mount, thus risking breakage. But I suppose it depends on how hard you wheel it.

Caster often becomes an issue with a 3.5" suspension lift, but not always.

Don't change only one. If you do the steering gets all wonky as the suspension cycles.

When I did 3½ of lift it steered straight. But the angle of the track bar was steep enough and the springs were soft enough that dips in the road would make the body yaw as the frame shifted side to side from the angle of the track bar.
I raised the track bar mount, that fixed the track bar angle and the truck didn't yaw with dips in the road. But it now had bumpsteer as the steep drag link angle didn't match the arc of travel of the track bar. A drop pitman arm could have fixed it but I went with heim joint steering instead. It corrected the angle as so the arc of travel was matched to the corrected track bar arc.
