I have a 75 with a stock 302. When I change the oil it takes 7 quarts to reach the full mark on the dipstick. Is this right, I always thought they took 6 quarts.
Any help is appreciated. ?:?

Frank

good question. Every 302 I ever had was 6. Maybe I am doing this wrong. I know the oil pan shape is unique to the Bronco. Does it allow for an extra quart? Mine is a swapped in 302, and we changed the pan out, so I have two dipsticks, one in the pan, and one in the front cover. Neither ever reads really full, but I have been hesitant to over fill.

Anyone?

dpm

Should be 6, I would compare your dip stick with another from a Bronco buddy.
