How much Por 15 to do a frame?

It does look good brushed, as it has great leveling ability so it smooths very nice. As to how much, I'm not sure but it goes far. Someone else should come up here soon and let you know since I haven't painted my frame. My only issue with it is its a little to glossy by itself, but its damn near bullet proof if done right.
Oh, and don't get it on your skin if you don't want every Swinging Richard asking you about it for the next 3-4 weeks.

I think my frame took about a quart of POR. I brushed mine on and it looks good but I also sprayed chassis black over top of it

I sprayed mine with 2 coats of POR-15 and 1 coat of chassis black. used < 1 quart of POR-15 for the 2 coats and I layed it on pretty thick.

I used about the whole quart to do the frame gas tank straps, tank skid plate, axels, shackles and some other random items. I covered the axels and other spots that I thought might see some sun with black gloss krylon when it was still just a little tacky and it came out sweet.
Used a small foam roller and a whole bag of foam brushes. The roller worked great, but I'd use a few regular brushs instead of the foam. They totally fell apart and were a big mess.
Just make sure it gets fairly dry between coats. Not totally dry but not real tacky either. I put my second coat on too early and got some solvent pop.
I would get some of their thinner too. Works great for getting it off of you, and you can use it to thin out the Por a little as you get to the last of it. After a while the stuff in the tray I used and in the can started to thicken up before I could get the whole thing finished even though I was putting the lid back on the can after I pored into the tray. It takes a while to get every knook and cranny on the frame...

wd-40 works great to remove it off your self also, no matter what you do you will probably wear some of it.

If you buy the solvent it will thin the por-15 down. I brushed it on and also brushed on the chassis paint, by putting the solvent mixed in I found that I didn't get brush strokes. WEAR plastic gloves or you will be wearing it for a few days! The solvent will also clean up any spills but get it before it dries. I'm just getting ready to do another rear with it, just applied the metal ready and will be painting the axle housing later today. With one quart of por-15 and chassis paint, I've done the frame with 2 coats of each, front axle with one coat each, 2 rears with one coat each.

Make sure it the air temp is above 60F too.

:-[It will look fine even if you don't thin it. Clean the frame real good (degrease) then use metal ready, let sit a bit, rinse,dry... and you are ready to go. One quart should do it.

And yes wear gloves, and make sure you are not wearing pants with holes in the knees otherwise you will be wearing it for a while. He is right is does not come off. If you have paint left make sure the lid is clean otherwise you may not get the can open again. The stuff is strong.

I somewhat agree. The first time I used it the day was sunny and hardly any humidity and the frame came out awesome. Second time I used it (5 years later with new can) the day was very humid and I got a lot of streaks from the brush. After talking to a retailer they told me the more humid it is the quicker it dries and that's why it didn't go on as nice. By using the solvent, I was able to not worry about it drying too quick and I was able to clean up any splatter either on me or the floor.
