I usually use a long brass or alum. punch or drift to remove and install. If you are carefull, you can use a long tapered punch...just remember not to hit anything other than the race. HTH,Chuck

You can use the old race to seat the new race. Just be careful and go slow.

I 'VE got some 14 inch long drift punches or maybe longer, knocks them right out ...with th BFH of corse ....
Another tip I'll give here ...those little bearings that are in the spindle ....
the kit that has bearing and 2 seals ..part no. SBK1.... too get these out of the spindle I have discovered that my brake adjusting tool ..the one you use to tightin up the drum brakes shoes ...mine is about 12 inches long and has different bends one end works just right to push those little bearing out ...
I've been using the same tool for both jobs for about 30 years now ..
so check it out ..these are tough to get out ...

I use my long round bar off my bottle jack and hit each race from the back side in all 4 corners and it will work its way out. To replace the best way I found was to put the races into the freezer. Don't be alarmed if the race drops right in place. Give it a few taps and make sure its seated cause in a few minutes its gunna be tight. It might take a few taps to get into place but will be way easier than if its at room temp.
