Hummer H3 Seat Install

Soap, I picked up a set of seats from the local junk yard yesterday. $100 for the set, out of a 2008 H3. They were pretty nice seats, manual, fairly low to the ground, so I figured why the shit not. Obviously they are too small with stock brackets, and you can’t just unbolt their riveted in brackets and bolt your own sliders on. So I got to bust out the welder and cutoff wheel and I got a little creative. Keep in mind, I am a grinder not a welder, but I am still pretty proud of how these are coming together. A few pics for your time, the seat in the bronco picture was me testing the results. I started with the passenger seat so that I could jack up the wife’s seat before making the driver seat perfect.
Anyone else have seats that took some crazy ass work to install?

No, any seats I've ever installed fit perfectly and looked factory. And if you believe that.....
The last ones I did were Recaros in a Mercedes 450SL so I don't even know why I replied to this thread.

Well that sounds super fancy...

Here is a picture of the final product. Super stoked about my seats.

They do look nice. How'd the height work out?

Once I hacked 20 pounds of shit off the bottom of the seats, the height was great. Fresh out of the Hummer they were terrible. The head rest was hitting the roll bar.

Nice Stroppe roll bar too by the way.

Thanks, I am going to either replace it... or destroy it by means of adding to it. I will be using the truck as a hunting rig at times. I help guide hunts on an exotic ranch here, and we often work with disabled vets that can not necessarily hump around for hunting. So I want a better roll cage for "safety" but also grab handles and such.

Nice! Looks like they turned out good. I went through the same thing to get 2004 explorer seats to work. I had them in and out 50 times, ok probably five , but it felt like fifty. I was junking the explorer and the seats were near perfect, so the price was right. I'm happy with how they turned out also.
