Is anyone talking about the rather large storm that's trailing Irma? Or is it expected to take a different path?

sorry to quote myself, but Hurricane Jose is trailing but looks to be headed towards Bermuda, and Hurricane Katia is in the Gulf but moving so slowly a path has not yet been predicted (according to NBC News)

Curious question from someone who lives far from a coast: Does your work shut down and give you the time off for hurricanes or do you have to take sick/vacation or just get unpaid? Are you expected to show up? I would think they would understand but my work expects me to show up in a blizzard and frowns if I take a sick day because I rather not join the people on the ice rink hwys.

all my shops yesterday from noon till 3pm "cleanup" and picking up all loose lumber and crap , securing equipment and tools ! offices .... all day yesterday unplugging all computers and servers and individually garbage bagging them . Sexretary ...her job is and was to have all business and insurance documents at all times in a metal briefcase by her site and keep them dry ! ( all documents are also scanned and saved to my usb drive ........

all paid , everyone is off since and until until Monday or further notice !

on a personal not .... at 185mph sustained and wind gusts of over 220mph all bets are off ! in that carp the best place to be is probably in your car inbtw the 2nd and 3rd floor of a all concrete, multi level airport parking garage .... I could be wrong !

God help everyone that's in the path of Irma's center/eye !

Found out earlier that my Brother in law is supposed to land in Miami tonight. Hoping he can find gas and get to a safer place.

Why the hell would they fly people IN to an evacuation zone?!?

Oh yeah, because if they flew empty planes into an evacuation area to fly people out, they would lose money. %)

But I'm sure Delta/American/United will each donate $25,000 to the relief effort

Supposed to drive to Atlanta on Monday but computer model has Irma headed up Florida to
Atlanta. Maybe by Tuesday it'll be rain only.

Hope all in her path are somewhere safe.

Both trucks are in the shop and managed to squeeze the boat in as well. Went through Andrew years ago in south Florida, don't want any part of that again. A little better prepared this time.
