Had some time today so I figured I would instal my hydraboost . I bolted it all up before disconnecting any lines and then hooked up the returns with a T.
Next I moved my original hose from the pump to the booster . Now I have booster to steering box connected.
Next I went to put a new hose from the pump to the booster and found that I have the wrong 6an fitting for in the explorer pump 😡 now that is on hold till Tuesday.
So while I wait I figured I would get a start on putting my wrap trap on. Got under the truck and what do ya know my muffler and tailpipe and hanger are in the way😡🙄
Took muffler and tailpipe off and got it figured where the crossmember goes, them spent time modifying the exhaust to make it work.
Flipped the muffler end for end and moved it ahead 4”, then cut the tailpipe in 3 places and modified it to work before welding it back together.
Now I’m ready to get the wrap trap in place and I brings me to a couple questions, but I’ll ask them a little later.

Looking good so far. Bummer about the ps fitting though!
Thanks, I’m looking at this trap going to help the truck accelerate and decelerate while keeping it in a straighter line between the white line and double yellow line.
Did you know that for every mile of road there is 2 mile of ditches??😃

Haha yep I’m fully aware of that! Mine was pretty sketchy on the road back in the day with bias ply Swampers and a Detroit Locker. Now it drives nice and straight as long as I’m easy on the skinny pedal.
Is your bronco going to see much offroad use? If not, the Wrap Trap will work great for you.

Well I went for it and have everything welded in place now, so we’ll see how it works mostly daily driver not looking to rock crawl.

I got this wrap trap from toddz69 on may 19th and just now got to putting it on.
I never want to quit driving it long enough to do upgrades.
Glad you finally got it installed! I bought it many years ago and it just sat in my attic so you're far ahead of me :).

So now back to finishing up the hydraboost . I went with all original style hoses. Used 6an weld fittings on the tubing and had jic hydraulic hose made. Total this costed me a whopping 100 dollars to convert. Fingers are crossed that the explorer pump keeps up.

Discs on the rear aren’t necessarily more powerful. But they are more consistent, usually require less maintenance, are typically easier to work on when you do, and usually zero adjustment. Usually… :)
Depends on which calipers are running.

Nice work, is that crossmember for the wrap trap bolted or welded on? Looks like it will work nice. On my duff wrap trap it bent the mounting brackets on the rear end pretty good. Looks like now they have different axle mounts. Keep us posted on how yours works after a drive.

It’s welded on, and now I can launch from a stop much straighter than before. which is the reason I put it on.
I can’t really tell if it stiffened the ride and as for flex I don’t know cause I don’t rock crawl.
