I would think it's too low. The pump is gravity fed so it might starve it for fluid. .?

Think this is high enough? I'll make a bracket so its locked down. This is about the same level as the stock explorer pump so I think it should work.

I'd say that's plenty high, it shouldn't cavitate with all that volume of fluid. But it looks like it will be subjected to a lot of heat. Maybe a heat shield underneath would help? Or move it farther away from the header? Viper has his mounted up at the firewall.
