I plan on installing the ford super duty hydro boost soon. Is there a fitting the adapts the stock power steering box to the 6n fitting? This is for the threaded piece sticking out of the back of the PS pump. Or do i have to have the stock PS line modified?

Are you needing a fitting for the steering box, or pump? If you're using a sag pump, call PSC and ask for an SF23 fitting

Ok I thought I replied but I must have not hit the post button.

What I need is the fitting for the back of the stock round steel power steering pump, if they make one.

I will need the power steering box fitting and I'm sunscribed to an older post that list that part number. That post uses the explorer PS pump, not the stock round PS pump. I don't recall ever reading that there is an adapter for the stock PS pump. But it's been a while since I have done that research.

Ah, I don't know the answer then. I can't remember reading a thread where someone used a stock pump with HBoost and braided lines, which I'm assuming you'te trying to do since you want -AN fittings. I'm sure it's been done though... Probably the reason for that is cuz those stock pumps can't really handle big tires and crawling like a sag or better pump can.

It's a 5/8s 18 thread made to mate up to an inverted flare

I could not find a 6an adapter for that. I took a russell 6an adapter with the correct 5/8 18 female thread and cut the taper on the inside (plenty of material to do it) You need a bit with a 45 deg angle since that is what the flare fittings are.

I did it as a short term solution since I am putting in an explorer serp set up. I would just go with a new pump from scrapman if I were keeping the v belt set up. He sell rebuilt pumps with dual return lines that have been boosted pretty cheap.

I plan on going to the explorer set up in the near furture but for now I just wanted to keep it simple. I will look into having the stock PS line modified to accept the 6n fitting. I saw a post where some one had that done on the explorer PS line so it can be done, I hope. Now I need to find some one local to do this for me.
