Hydroboost puking PS fluid

Hey guys, hoping someone can help. I have the Hydratech Hydroboost system in my Bronco. Recently have got her on the road after a 15 month full frame rebuild. Finding all the bugs on things I have done wrong. With the Hydroboost I have went lock to lock 200+ times, had the system vacuumed, and still a little whining. There are no leaks. Running Royal Purple PS fluid. Check the hose configuration and it's fine.

The problem I am having is when I engage the brakes. PS fluid is pushed back to the reservoir so hard and so much that it shoots out the top vent hole of the reservoir cap that it sprays the top of the hood. Did it with the hood open and it still shot to the top. I can also tell I am not getting what I need from my breaks. If she's cold, the PS fluid is about an 1” under the cold line, but if I fill it up, it's gone as soon as I engage the breaks.

Any thoughts. Any one deal with this? Any one know how to fix it?

Thanks

I will double check the routing this morning. The pump is from a CVF Rachel no serpentine I got from BluePrint engines.

Routing...

Pump = High Pressure to brake assist, Low Pressure to bottom of reservoir

Brake Assist Unit = HP one from gear box, one from pump. LP goes to middle tee

Tee = top to PS Reservoir, bottom to left side cooler

Right side cooler - back to LP gear box

Any thoughts?

I would load pics, but not sure how to.

ckirchoff, I feel your pain. Your problem sure appears to be an air bubble. Double check all the connections. A trivial leak will allow air to enter the system. Maybe even a do over on the hose return connections would help. Replace the hoses.
Flare savers on AN fittings are another way to fix a bad connection.

I had the same problem. I changed 2 Hydroboosters the steering gear box and 3 explorer pumps trying to fix it .Bought a vacuum pump to get the air out . Finally I bought a Saginaw pump and bracket it practically burped itself and now turns aired down 35s with ease.
