What Power Steering Reservoir are you running?

Option 1: Tee'ing into the return line or
Option 2: running a reservoir with 2 returns?

Are there pros/cons to option 1?

Option 1

Option 2

I used to run one on inner fender with "T" but am trying to fit a superduty reservoir in with dual returns. If you go the "T" route use the straight thru portion for the steering gear return and the 90 degree end for the hydroboost return. it flows alot less fluid...

Do you see issues with running a Tee? Why are you switching?

Dual return is a little nicer in my opinion but "T" is fully functional. I mostly am doing it for the larger reservoir capacity.

I am using this one - ACDELCO Part # 15909826
I would only go with a dual return at this point. Too many good options for dual return to bother with a single.

I run a single return with the "T" in the position as Sandmann3 describes with no issues.
That first diagram is the wrong way to plumb the "T".

Made my own. Dual return. Not difficult if you know how to weld, or know someone who will weld for beer.

I found a few reservoirs on summit with 3 inlet but the capacity is smaller, as I think about it why need larger capacity, a full primed system plus what's in the reservoir should be sufficient, right?

Yes, regular size reservoir is fine if you are not running a hydraulic steering cylinder.

I've run both ways using the same hydroboost and steering gear.

1st setup was a saginaw pump with a Tee in the return.

2nd setup is a Cummins pump with a SuperDuty dual return reservoir.

Both worked fine. I prefer the dual returns because it eliminate any chance of bad interactions, but with testing, a tee return is simple and easy.

2000 F-250/F250 Superduty hydroboost

2000 F-150 disc/drum MC (1-1/8" bore and integral prop valve)

I run disc/drum (Chevy calipers front and large drum rear). I chose the MC because there is a disc/disc version from the same year for when I switch to rear discs
