What dual pump for hydroboost is everyone using and what pump bracket is everyone using. I searched and found some answers, but looking for the least modification. Is anything bolt in?

Thanks,

John

BC mustang saginaw bracket with '79 lincoln mark v pump. Remember to get a pulley for it too.

bracket from west coast broncos, 75 bucks and a true bolt in
My dual return came from a Mercury wagon but it is the same one as the Lincoln pump.
There are others, the diesel GM pump for one, but these worked for me

Don,

Did you get the pulley as well, or did your original pump have one?

Thanks,

John

Yep just ran the pulley that came on the pump
The differences in pulley sizes don't amount to a hill of beans as far as the pump pressure is concerned. anything from a 5" to a 6 and a half will work. Try and get the GM Diesel truck pump, most pressure in a stock pump.
I have heard of only one guy that had to change the pulley, (easy to do), and that was because he had the boost and the steering both

I'm using the Astro pump and the remote reservior. Had to change to a V pulley and had to fabricate a bracket. I don't have big tires on my rig, but I have been really pleased with the performance. Hardly any noise from my pump at all, (once I got the air worked out). I had my steering gear ratio changed at the same time so I'm not sure what corrected the problem, but before I was using the Napa pump and the steering didn't seem to have enough stiffnes - it was just to easy to move the wheel - if you know what I mean. Now the steering has almost the same feel as my 2001 F150.

Thanks for all the answers everyone!!! I haven't decided which way to go yet, (still a long ways from having to worry about it). I wanted to eventually get this stuff lined up so when I get there, I've got everything together. I'm having my hydroboost lines made next week for the astro hydroboost and I wanted to insure I had the right ends for the pump that would work best. I have the napa pump (never used) that I think I'm going to install in my dad's 73.

Hopefully I can move a bit faster after the divorce hearing next week.

I just used my bracket (I think it was wild horses) from a single return pump but had to cut the bracket a little to make the larger dual return fit.
