WOW....been waaaaay too long since I have given any update on my build. Motor is out right now and at the machine shop. Bronco has go alot of work done to it...I have been horrible about taking pictures. Both axles have been rebuilt...35 spline for the rear and chromoly for the front with 4:11 gears. ARB air locker in the front with a Detroit in the rear. Dana 20 was rebuilt with the TerraLow 3:1 gears. It now has an NP 435 transmission.

Springs are 3.5 lift from Deaver and my buddy made some custom long travel shock mounts for the rear and we used F250 shock mounts for the front.

The frame was cleaned/sanded and sprayed with truck bed liner and the underneath was also truck bed lined or undercoated.

Motor is going to be stock with single exhaust.

Thanks Franko! The original grill had to be replaced from a prior accident and was painted body color (YUK!). The Bronco is a Sport model so I elected to re-paint and put the rasied letters and the chrome trim back on!

Lhofkamp - No, I believe you are thinking of something else. I bought this June 2013 in Covina, CA. No A/C. Were you thinking that far back?

So here is an update on my motor. Finally got it back from the machinist after 4 months!! Also, found out it was a 289 and not a 302. It's got 9:1 compression and will run a stock 2bbl carb. High volume water pump with 3-core radiator should keep her cool. Pertronix ignition and a hi-perf 289 air cleaner.

So my build is coming along. Motor broke in nicely and seems to run fine....temp was good and good oil pressure. Bought some 15x8 US Mags and 35" KM2's and put them on last night. It's finally starting to look like a running truck. We had a bit of fun comparing to the uncut as well. Next is roll cage and seats and it is practically there!!! I can almost taste it!!!

The tire/wheel combo looks great.

I see that you did a 1-ton steering conversion, did you use your old drop pitman with this new setup? Have you noticed any bump steer?

Thanks Ford Guy.

It is a stock pitman arm. I did not need a drop pitman arm because I did a TRO. I have not driven this rig so I do not know about bump steer yet. Hopefully, I can start driving and testing it during the summer.

Rolled her out into the patio yesterday to have room to put the quick release hinges on. Got the driver side door rebuilt with new window internal parts and new door panel and arm rest. Also got the spare mounted up as well. It is coming together finally and I am getting excited.

Sorry, I am not sure SSDDBRONCO. The original factory color is Light Blue but this rig has been repainted. The original blue is great and I wish it was still the original color. The original color looks like the sky on the clearest, bluest day.

Got the top off this weekend. Also started to mock up the rear roll cage (no pics of that).

IT'S ALMOST DONE!! Just buttoning up a few things, but it is insured and registered and can be driven. Still needs a full alignment but it is OK to take around the block. All mechanical is rebuilt and we will start testing everything very soon. It's been over 3 years and I am getting excited. More pics to come soon.
