I bought mine for $1500 in 'Jan 06 & have put about 12k of parts into it since (I don't count my labor, it's a ton cheaper than a shrink).

7k in November 08....................felt I got a good deal at the time......

but now feel I over paid by 1,500 to 2k

additional 3,500 in parts so far (rebuilding tranny, transfer case, axles, brakes, etc & adding hydraboost)

expecting another 3 - 5k for lift, body work, and new wheels and shoes

wouldn't trade it for the world

;D

Our '77 Ranger was $7600 new loaded with dealer installed A/C. It's the only car I've paid for twice. I've easily put that much into it again to bring it back around as a good driver.

Bought my 67 in 1978 for 1,000.00. I can't say how much I have in it now.

Paid $75 for this 72 one and it ran! Totally rotted out and got parted out. I paid $1500 for my 70 that was straight had a very clean body with minimal rust. The engine was shot and the rest of the drivetrain was in pretty bad shape (current project). I paid $3000 for my first one back in 82. It looked like new and had 45K on it. Drove it for 10 years and gave it to my brother.

650.00 on May 21 2008. It was a gigantic P.O.S. Nothing a bunch of time and money can't fix.

I think I paid $1900 back in '93. Long time ago, not sure without digging out the original paperwork.

Over $13k in it so far and like many others, still not back on the road. %)

Here's when I brought it home in '93 and put new shoes on it.

I paid 8400.00 tax license and everything for my 73. No rust and only 61,500 O.G. mile. Since then I've put maybe 1500.00 into it, including tires. Still think I got a good deal, have never seen another this straight and rust free for under 10,000.00.
