An Icon pulled up at the Alameda dog park this morning. Not the Bronco version, but pretty sweet. The owner wasn't too talkative as he seemed to be rushing to his tennis match, but said it was really fun to drive.
my good friend works there. I have actually been through their shop and seen many cars in person/ in the build process. They are quite amazing. Only two reported cases of owners taking the bronco's offroad though
His boyfriend probably bought it for him ,to ad a little macho to his life. And what does he do? He drives it to his tennis match. The Boxer must be in the shop.
Period correct license plates. Would of been nice to get a few details. ICON has picked good models to retro, old flat fenders,FJ,Bronco and I think I saw a 60's Dodge W200 4x4 with a cummins drivetrain. Maybe in my next life....
I really like what they are doing! There are a bunch of people that have a lot of money and no time or skill to build one, so why not sell them what they want? It just opens the market up for EB owners for new product ideas, exposure, and keeping these old vehicles alive...
I was parked next to him for the LA Auto Show last year and found Jonathan to be a very cool guy. He was going to bring a Bronco but had issues at the last moment and substituted an FJ. The details are pretty crazy on his stuff and thats one of reasons he has a 2 year waiting list. Simon Cowell was there talking to him about a build and thats the kind of people he caters to... not people like me
