Yeah i already have the cut dash from the P/O or else i would put an old radio in for show. i like the idea of a delete because it gives me some more space under the dash. I don't need the toggle switches, although that would be easiest i think. im going to hit up the local scrap yard guy see if i can find some cup holders or maybe one of those mustang cubbys. Dash was recently painted or else i'd just bondo it up. thanks fellas.

MORE ideas welcome.

found this.... might of killed two birds with one stone

That ford radio delete was in all the din type radio vehicles from 84 on up. I had one in a ranger that incut up to put a stereo in it. Lol

When I installed the Vintage Air A/C, the radio space was no longer deep enough for a CD player, so I mounted a stereo console to the headliner.
To cover the dash hole, I used a stereo mount box and trimmed it with black plastic. It's a handy cubby for a phone or flashlight.
Now with the new Bluetooth/USB stereos without a CD player, I'll be putting the radio back where in the dash it belongs. It's way handier there!

This may not help much if you're relocating the stereo to the console. I needed some extra "stuff" in the dash, and really didn't need a stereo with a CD player. I'd been looking at the gauge-mount stereo's for a while, and realized, since they mount in a 3 1/2" dia hole, that one might just fit in the ashtray hole! JBL PRV-175 gauge mount stereo, a digital voltmeter, 2 12Vdc power outlets, and a combination USB and Aux input wired to the stereo.

I finally did my attempt at covering up the (Uncut) radio hole in my dash. Since I already have a radio in my center console, I went with some Power Points.

I wired up the stock cigarette lighter and the USB plug to accessory power, and hooked the 12v plug up to constant power. I put a cigarette lighter Temp/Amp gauge in the stock cig lighter spot, which is why I changed it to accessory power.

Here's the Power Point part: Link to Amazon Part

I used a mudflap as my mounting "Plate". It has a nice texture.

A PO cut my dash as well. I found a Ford radio delete plate and painted it to match; hardly noticeable. P/N = E69Z-1104371-B

I did this on my 1975 Bronco. The part comes in black and it looks like it belongs. I really like it. I think the part was $10-12 :)

I took out the dash, welded a plate in and body worked the rest. Sand, prime, paint! Viola!

Sounds simple when you just type it...but it does look nice when it's all done :)
This is the dash for my 1974.
