Tried putting my ignition switch on my 77 bronco back into the dash where it goes and discovered that the ignition switch is in fact hot. Starts runs and shuts off like its suppose to but is hot.. Anyone know what the issue. Also my temp and oil pressure gauges read way high when running and I replaced both of the sending units on the engine. Thanks for the help.

Napa has them for $17.49.
Just replace it. Cheap insurance and diagnostic effort.

Gauges will max out if the cluster isn't grounded well. Could be related to ignition switch problem also. Might have something hot attached to the dash somewhere else like cigar lighter that is bringing the potential up. I suggest making some voltage measurements on the dash itself.
