Tuffy gove boxes are on backorder anywhere I look. I have a cage that will hopefully be ready to install soon and I'd rather not sit on it for 2-3 months waiting. It it possible to slide the thing in past the cage leg?

Mine rubbed a bit, but forced it in without scratching anything.

Crazy Bronco Man in Portland added the front tubes on mine to make it a 6 point bar. They may have been shortened some, I don't know. But I have 7/8" gap from the bottom of dash to the closest point on the bar. Also, the E brake foot pad is 3/16" from that bar so it didn't have to be relocated.

...but it also depends on how close the legs are the dash area.

this is the key. What cage are you going to be using?
The first time I was involved in one, there was NO WAY that the box was going to go in with the cage in the way. Cage had to move first.

With no heater box or air ducting (all PO removed) mine went in from the back. Had to remove door and side panel, get box mounted then reinstall door and side panel. There was NO way it was going in from the front.

I wanted to correct my previous post above.

To make it work you would need to take the box apart and install the box from the back and the lid would slide behind the rollbar.
