Installing stereo in dash

Hey guys,

Curious what dash kit everyone is using to install a single din stereo in the dash. Dash is already cut but struggling to figure out how to actually secure the radio to the dash. If anyone has any suggestions they’d be much appreciated!

Usually it comes with the slide in bracket for the dash and you bend the wings back(like a toggle) to get it tight. Then for tougher riding vehicles run a piece of metal strap from the stud or screw on the back to the firewall tight or solid as you can.

Aftermarket DIN radios come with a mounting sleeve like below.

Note that these are not universal - every manufacturer uses different locking interface between the sleeve and radio chassis.
