1975 Ford 302 V8 Distributor not Installing?

Two-piece multi sized pump drive shaft extractor tool! :)
Has to be two sizes for 351 versus 302.
Actually, not sure that the end of the shafts are different, just that I’ve heard that the 351 engine shafts are slightly larger diameter.
Then it needs to be even larger in diameter for the 351C & Modified distributor shafts that we use for EDIS in our 351W block strokers (Edit a couple days later) "larger" meaning not the small hex end that fits in the dist and oil pump but the dia of the rest of the shaft for the M & C engines (aftermarket) are much larger in diameter and clearance issues are an issue. I need to go out to the shop to be 100% but I believe I use ARP shafts since they don't need grinding to fit and then wouldn't need a different sized "straw" to be able to retrieve it" in the OP's case)
