Hey guys. First time user. I have a 73 w/stock 302. I noticed in a previous issue of BroncoDriver, someone sent in an article stating he had a high rise intake and holly 600 carb. with no modifications to his hood?
Does anyone know if this is possible to do without cutting a hole or using cowl induction? Any certain air cleaner set up?
thanks
terry

Maybe a body lift? I also saw someone here recently mention a filter cover that had extra deep recess in the underside to sit lower over the intake.

with a high rise I think even the low mount filters will put you up too high with out a body lift. you might be able to cut the support brace and cear though without cutting the outer part of the hood. This will give you another 3/4 of an or so.

You would more than likely need a body lift. A high rise manifold would probably have the carb base where the hood should be. A body lift or a big drop base plate depending on the high rise height
