I have a 73, and have done some minor upgrades such as : body lift, relpaced fuel lines, fuel pump, valve cover seals, headers, etc... and was wondering if there was a direction guide, or any help available to install the performer 2121 intake manifold and q-jet carb? Just recieved and know absoutely nothing about carburators.... yet???
Thanks for any help..

Terry, dont really know you level of ability but there is really nothing to this. I am running basicly the same combo you are and the only thing you may need to know is you will probably need a adapter for the q-jet to bolt onto your intake, then I made a simple linkage from a gm throttle cable that works better than stock. But it a simple bolt on affair, just watch your hood clearence with your chosen air cleaner...

Pretty easy install. Just bolt on. Make sure you torqe the bolts evenly and in the proper x sequnce. Other than that the carb spacer and watch hood clearance. I would double check for vacume leaks after you get everything installed. Qjets can be a pain to tune, but if you bought it rebuilt from a reputable dealer you should be fine.

Thanks guys, clearance shouldn't be a problem since the install of a WH 1" body lift. I got the q-jet from chuck at B.C (new), along with the adapter and drop base cleaner. Would taking digital pics of the stock carb and hook ups before removing, give me some direction when hooking up the q-jet, or is it totally different? Kinda afraid of getting everything off, and unable to get back together, leaving me with trying to get someone who knows more about out to the house to complete..........
