Is Prarie Yellow bright yellow?

So my '71 has original Prairie Yellow paint (well worn) and I have recently welded up some holes (aux tank), was looking for a touch up paint for the patch. Not looking for an exact match, but the can of paint I got from "The Auto Paint Depot" for the year/color code (Prarie Yellow) is bright canary yellow.
Is there any world where Prarie Yellow is a bright canary yellow?

I don't know about prairie yellow, However I would suggest finding a local auto paint store. They should have a scanning gun or an old guy that can match your paint in it's current condition.
I did it with mine - original paint (well worn)/now a bit matte. I used it on my fender flairs and it matched wonderfully.

Looks more like Spiringtime Yellow to me, a ‘67 Mustang color. Have a neighbor that restored one that color.

What is the color code on your Vin? Mine is K which doesn’t appear to show up on the vintage charts I’ve seen. What I do see in 68, 69, and 70 is a color code W and it is called Meadow Lark or just Yellow. I had a local paint store scan the paint on my truck and it didn’t go so well.
