I tell you what is funny about my LUBR. When I went to pick it up I literally brought a 4" cut out tool with me to cut those ugly fenders out. PO made some sort of comment that he was glad that I wasn't some sort of punk that was going to "cut it all up". So I decided to wait until I got it home. Little by little it started growing on me. Twice I went out to cut it, but both times something stopped me. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I even ran a poll on this site to see what people thought. (overwhelmingly to leave uncut by the way) and now I don't think I will ever cut it. All though I still want a cut one BAD, as I still think they look better, but dang, the thing lived as is just fine without me. It's older than me! Who am I to come along and cut it up? But I am considering trading it for one that's cut. Any takers?

A sad story: Years ago I had, as I do now, plenty of EB project and parts trucks sitting around....all over the place. I needed to move one..an unmolested '71..from out behind the shop to get at some other stuff. One rear tire on it was totally gone. Jacked it up..the only tire I had on a rim handy was too big. Easy peasy...took the battery sawzall and zipped the rear out..then the tire fit fine. Fired 'er up and moved it to where I wanted.

Makes me sick now. :-[ I still have the tub..one rear hacked out and the other untouched. We just didn't give it much of a thought back in the day.

Well, embarrassingly I am still building mine back up after the off-the-frame thing. So it is still a few months away from running. Therefore all the pictures have to be inside garages or on flatbeds. But here are a couple.

2.5 inch suspension, 1 inch body lift.

Most of these can be seen in my build thread (Mars Chariot 2.0: 1971 Off-the-Frame Re-Rebuild Thread : http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=174049)

Nothing to be embarrassed about Mars! That thing is beautiful! Take your time, enjoy it, and do it the right way which I can see that's what you are doing. You'll enjoy driving it but you'll miss working on it as well. Great Job so far!

Red71 Sport, I am in the same boat. I was looking for a cut to build and I ran across my Red one. I have thought many times to cut it and almost ordered the flares but its growing on me and I just dont have the heart yet. Maybe after a trail run with the big boys to get the adrenaline up and a few beers afterwords and I'll have courage to do it.

DON'T DO IT!!!!:eek::eek: That EB is BEAUTIFUL! Man I am in love with your ride!;D

I was going to graft fronts to rears on mine till I saw yours. Everyone and their brother has one cut. The way it sits is just shear unique awsomeness...

Thats funny. I actually picked up a set of front fenders from Entourage so I could graft the front into the rears if I decided to.

Don't worry about what your rig looks like, show it off. The more that we see the more ideas that we will have for future builds or buys. Keep the pics coming. Thanks.
