I'm looking to have some basic machine work/inspection done to my 351w. I've emailed a few shops in the yellow pages with no reply. Does anyone in the area have a recommendation for a good shop?

Thanks.

Go to a NAPA and ask them who they use. That, or go to a local mom and pop car repair shop of finer vehicles like BMW and ask them.

You may want to pick up a phone. I doubt many machine shops really bother with email. Doubt many of the finer car repair shops even bother with using machine shops its not like they do lots of rebuild on those type of cars anyhow.. If you have a local speed shop ask them they will know whos good and not so good.

When I lived there I (and friends) used S&M machine shop. Wonder how I remember the name?
They did good work at fair prices.
Have no idea if they are still in business, I last used them 20 years ago.
Trying to remember where they are. I think they are around Johnson Drive or Shawnee Mission Parkway, East of I35.

If they are not there any more I don't have any other suggestions.

They are in the northland but Bob's has done work for me in the past.
Very knowledgeable, been there for years, very fair pricing.
He is on Swift and 12th st if I remember right.
It's a little old school kind of shop.

Thanks guys; I'll try Bob's first, then Tessendorf. I couldn't find S&M in the yellow pages; they must have gone under.
