Anyone know where to get parts for these. I was informed by RKI they are obsolete and they had nothing. I googled but turned up some very old posts.
I need gaskets and drum bushings.

Broncitis (Drew) on here has quite a few parts for those. He'll certainly chime in at some point or you could PM him.

Let me know which part numbers you need and I will get some prices together.

Anyone got a Vendor part number for the seal 40012...appart from 40012 number. Mine is leaking bad. I suppose I could pull it and try to get the part number.

I do not have a cross reference for standard seal numbers for these.

I replaced my seal last year, when I pulled it there were no numbers on it. I did get a TIMKEN 471570 .875x1.499x.250 was the size on the box. Not sure if it is the exact one, the OD was spot on, but the ID could have been a little tighter in my opinion, It still dripped a little. Before I reinstall it on the Bronco I am going to look again for a tighter one.

Thanks

Koenig King Winch Parts

I too was told by RKI that they no longer make parts for these old winches. Lucky for me I found a good dealer for RKI that determined otherwise. I had an original parts list for my winch. When I sent it to him we determined that it was almost a perfect match with a current RKI parts list. Even to the point where 99% of the original part numbers were the same. I ordered what I needed and rebuilt my winch. All the parts I ordered fit and my 43 year old winch works like new. The parts are not cheap but they are available.

When I needed parts for mine, I went online to an RKI site and they gave me 3 dealers within ten miles of my home. They had no problem getting what I needed. Very expensive and a couple of the gaskets had holes that didn't quite line up. However, the seal that went around the shaft fit perfect. Snug, absolutely no leaks.

The Koenig winch on my Bronco was installed new in 1971. It's a king model 100. It matches the current RKI model 08 MLX-SS parts list and diagram. http://www.rki-us.com/productDetails.aspx?cat=5&type=16&series=18&prod=08MLX# Some parts were slightly different than the original but functioned and fit correctly. I assume they are engineering upgrades. I went on the RKI website and found a nearby dealer. The one I dealt with is located in Marshfield WI but shipped directly to my address. Their prices were about 40% less than the RKI list price for each part. If you want the dealer contact info send me a PM.
