Odyssey is $429 for a 34/78 one website showed them permanently out of stock in this size.
Optima is $339 for a 34/78 still available at least for now.
Deka Intimadator thru Rock Auto is $159 ( no idea what the date code is)

I have a Bronco event that I am leaving for at the end of next week t and I really need a battery that's not sitting on the Bronco floor strapped to the roll cage and connected with jumper cables when i'm there. :)

Rock Auto said they were eight days out, I'm leaving on day eight.

The cover stayed on just fine 47 years with the square battery. But the rounded corners on the optima make it a little harder to package well w/o the zip but I put it on there.

My cost on the Optima is about $100 less.So I went with it. I hope they're making them better than they did twenty years ago!

Didn't check summit (duh!) however, my Deka 34/78 my cost was $169 and on the rack retail at OReillys was $269... of course, not having the ability to get one kind of made a difference. lol

So I went with Optima, as it was a hundred bucks less, and they had it right in town
